Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the revered General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), delivered a sermon titled "For Whom the Heavens Open (Part 49)" during the RCCG Online Sunday Service.

In his sermon, Pastor Adeboye addressed the often overlooked reality of aging, stressing that while outward appearances may shift, the passage of time remains steadfast in God's eyes.

Referring to the biblical account of Joshua, Pastor Adeboye reminded the congregation that even esteemed figures in scripture confronted the inevitability of aging. "According to Bible scholars, he was 110 years old when God spoke to him," he noted, citing Joshua.

Quoting God's words to Joshua: "Joshua, you're old," Pastor Adeboye underscored the profound acknowledgment of age by divine authority.

He expanded on the tendency of individuals to mask their true age through cosmetic means. "You can dye your hair black and think you're a young man, but God is counting your days," Pastor Adeboye observed, addressing a common practice.

However, he cautioned that such efforts are futile in altering divine perception. "Don't fret, the calendar in heaven continues to turn," he reassured, emphasizing God's acute awareness of the genuine passage of time in each person's life.

Pastor Adeboye's sermon served as a poignant reminder that God's perspective transcends human attempts to conceal age. "You may think God is indifferent to your days - Oh, He is not," he firmly stated. He then encouraged introspection and a deeper grasp of the divine viewpoint on aging and the value of each passing day.
