Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been leading the chase for Lookman, recognizing his immense potential and the impact he could have on their respective squads. However, Chelsea have now thrown their hat into the ring, adding another layer of competition to the pursuit of the Super Eagles star.

The battle for Lookman's signature is set to be intense, with Chelsea joining the likes of Manchester United and Bayern Munich in the pursuit of the talented winger. Each club possesses its own unique allure, offering Lookman the opportunity to play for a giant of European football and compete for major trophies a significant impact at whichever club he chooses. The Europa League hero is ready to take the next step in his career.

Former and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas draws a contrast between Manchester United's period under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and their current boss Erik ten Hag.

According to pulse sport; Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, during his appearance on the Planet Premier League podcast, offered a scathing assessment of Manchester United's current state under Erik ten Hag, contrasting it with the more defined approach under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"I have to say as well that I don't know the numbers, but with Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] there were some good big games,” Fabregas stated. He went on to highlight the key difference: "They used to have a structure, they had a plan. At least you saw a plan, which was to defend well and have great breaks and this is exactly what Manchester United don't have at the moment."

Fabregas's comments pinpoint the lack of a clear tactical identity under Ten Hag. While the Dutch manager has brought a more possession-based style to the team, it hasn't yet translated into consistent results or a recognizable game plan. The absence of a defined structure and plan, as Fabregas points out, has left United vulnerable and lacking direction on the pitch.

The contrast with Solskjaer's era is stark. Under the Norwegian, United had a more pragmatic approach, prioritizing defensive solidity and counter-attacking opportunities. This strategy, while not always aesthetically pleasing, yielded results, particularly in big games.

Fabregas's observations highlight the challenges facing Ten Hag as he attempts to rebuild Manchester United. While the team has shown glimpses of promise, the lack of a clear tactical identity and the inconsistency in performances have raised questions about the direction of the club under the Dutch manager.
