Brobbey opens door to Man United move

Ajax striker Brian Brobbey, who previously worked under Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag, has opened the door to joining the Red Devils in the future, according to Sportmole. Ajax are well-placed to demand a significant fee for the 22-year-old, whose contract runs for another three seasons, but his recent comments in an interview with the Dutch edition of Men's Health magazine may put Man United on red alert. When asked about any foreign teams he wished to represent, Brobbey name-checked the Red Devils along with two other European giants, saying: "Real Madrid is a great club, but so are Arsenal and Manchester United." Brobbey's comments come in spite of his previous rejection of Man United, who tried and failed to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams in the summer of 2022 when Ten Hag had just been appointed first-team manager.

Cole Palmer was asking to leave Man City

Pep Guardiola has revealed that Cole Palmer had been expressing his desire to leave Manchester City for two years prior to his move to Chelsea last summer, according to Sportmole. When asked if he had any regrets about Palmer's departure, Guardiola responded, "I don't know. He was an exceptional player during his time here. I've mentioned it many times before, perhaps I didn't give him the minutes he deserved, and now he's getting them at Chelsea. I completely understand. "He's a shy guy with a lot of potential. It is what it is. He's playing fantastic so what can I say? The decision has been made for many reasons." The City boss also indicated that he wanted to retain Palmer over the summer, especially after the departure of Riyad Mahrez to Al Ahli in July. "He was asking for two seasons to leave and I said stay. He said he wanted to leave. What could we do? I said stay because Riyad [Mahrez] is gone, but for two seasons he wanted to leave."

Wrexham face competition to sign Arthur Oknokwo from Arsenal

Wrexham face a battle to sign goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo on a permanent deal this summer once his loan expires, amid rival interest from various clubs. Per the Daily Mail, Wrexham face competition from clubs in the Premier League and Championship to sign Okonkwo, as his Arsenal contract expires this summer, and there has been no sign of talks over an extension. The stopper is thus attracting interest from the top two leagues, as well as in Europe, as he has previously impressed on loan at Austrian side Sturm Graz.
