According to a report by Daily Post Nigeria. Many people are now homeless in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, as a result of heavy rains that lasted for many hours. Many houses were reportedly collapsed.

According to information obtained by DAILY POST, flooding in Tudun Wada's Genge Maigemu region blocked access for both cars and pedestrians.

It was also discovered that a large number of locals were observed taking valuables out of their houses after the rain damaged them.

Mama Bilikisu said, "We were busy packing some of the things we could save and we couldn't sleep because the rain started very early."

Salisu Ibrahim, a further disaster victim, bemoaned the destruction of his house and possessions by the rain, saying that he is now forced to replace his valuables and rebuild his house despite his limited financial resources.

Some, however, pointed out that many did not follow government building plans and blamed the disaster on negligence.

Engineer Musa stated, "The majority of the houses were built on waterways, which causes problems and damages during the rainy season."
