There were fireworks in the Ghanaian parliament when a legislator forewarned fellow lawmakers not to enact harsh legislation that discriminate against the people.

Millie Odhiambo, a member of parliament for Suba North, posted a video in which she warns other lawmakers that they should think twice before enacting excellent laws or face beatings from the public, similar to what happened to Kenyan lawmakers who were recently abused by their people.

He claimed that they had seen the CNN and other foreign media outlets' footage of Kenyan lawmakers being physically assaulted by enraged citizens. He stated that Ghanaian lawmakers ought to learn from what transpired in Kenya.

"We watched on CNN as well as other global news outlets. I wanted to let the house know what we witnessed in Kenya, where Kenyans are being beaten up by the public for enacting unjust laws.

Create strong legislation to protect yourselves from public beatings." He cautioned Kenya gained national attention this week when irate Gen Z demonstrators stormed the National Assembly, demanding that lawmakers reject the planned Finance Bill for the nation.

The National Assembly's proceedings were disrupted by the teenagers, causing parliamentarians to flee via an underground passage. At that point, the President would concede defeat and reject the Finance Bill. RESOURCE
