Soldiers Injured After Patrol Vehicle

At least four officers of the 25 Task Force Brigade of Operation Hadin Kai have been reportedly wounded after running into an improvised explosive device (IED) in Borno.

A counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, disclosed this in a series of tweets on Tuesday.

The troops were said to be on a fighting patrol along Wajiroko-Sabon Road in the Damboa Local Government Area when their vehicle drove over the planted IED.

The IED was allegedly planted by Boko Haram insurgents.

39 Injured As Tipper Crashes Into Bus In Onitsha

The Federal Roads Safety Commission, FRSC said at least 42 passengers escaped death when Mack tipper on high speed lost control and crashed into into a bus in Enugu-Onitsha Expressway on Tuesday.

Anambra FRSC boss, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, in a statement explained that no life was lost in the accident which occurred at about 11:30am.


Presidency Knocks PDP Over Claim Of Kano Stone-Pelting Of Buhari

The Presidency has reacted to what it described as fake reports of a stone-pelting incident that took place in the Hotoro area of Kano on the day of the visit to the commercial city by President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday.

It noted that the incident, even if minor, that should stand condemned by all well-meaning citizens.

Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, in a statement on Tuesday, said facts on ground as rendered by the law enforcement agencies speak of a clash between the local road transport authorities, the Kano Road Transport Authority (KAROTA) and thugs hired by a yet-to-be identified group that took place when the President was being treated to a banquet at the Government House, well after he had finished his projects commissioning.


Rivers Voters Will Punish PDP National Leadership - Wike

Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has said that voters in Rivers will punish the national leadership in the forthcoming Presidential election for abandoning the State during the 2022 floods.

Wike spoke on Tuesday at the Community Secondary School in Akinima Town during the Rivers State PDP Campaign inauguration at Ahoada West Local Government Area.

The Governor explained that the flood devastated some communities of Abua/ Odual, Ahoada West and Ahoada East Local Government Areas submerging houses, displacing people and disrupting their socioeconomic lives.
