Governor Seyi Makinde stated on his verified Facebook page; "Let me once again thank the Honourable Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade John; my brother, the former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke; and our mother, Chief Dr Mrs Onikepo Akande, for gracing us with their presence at the International Tourism Summit Oyo State 2024 #ITSOyoState2024 yesterday."

He added; "I invited investors to our dear State as I delivered the keynote presentation for the summit titled “Unlocking the Tourism Potential of Oyo State Through Public-Private-Development Partnership Collaborations”.
