Osun Muslim Community Says Tinubu Governors Are Not Doing Enough to Address Hardship

The Osun State Muslim community stated that President Bola Tinubu's government and the 36 state governors lack the political will to address the country's widespread hardship.

Sheikh Mustafa Ajisafe, President of the Osun State Muslim Community, said political leaders have shown no commitment to addressing the country's challenges at a press conference in Osogbo.

He emphasized the need for a robust agricultural revolution in the state, particularly in the southwest, where agricultural production is declining.

He stated, "The country's leaders have failed to address hunger, prioritizing motorcycle distribution over agricultural development."

President Bola Tinubu is focused on political maneuvering for the 2027 elections rather than addressing the country's economic crisis.

The governors are prioritizing motorcycle and equipment distribution over revitalizing agricultural settlements, neglecting regional specialization.

"Until leaders put the country's needs above their personal ambitions, the country will prosper."

He emphasized Muslim tolerance and urged interfaith harmony in the new Islamic year.

The celebration continues Monday through Saturday, featuring a Qur'an competition, youth entrepreneurship training, a public lecture, and a grand finale chaired by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
