Senator Ali Ndume of Borno State has condemned the recent coordinated suicide bomb attacks in Gwoza, praising the Joint Task Force (JTF) for their bravery in confronting the attackers.
In a motion sponsored by Ndume, he described how the JTF confronted the fourth suicide bomber, resulting in the loss of one soldier's life. Despite their efforts, the bomber managed to detonate her explosive. However, the military successfully captured the fifth suicide bomber before she could detonate her bomb.
According to The Sun report, during interrogation, the captured bomber revealed her willingness to die, believing it would take her to heaven. Ndume expressed concern over the extent of indoctrination and radicalization of the attackers.
"The military arrested the fifth suicide bomber as she was about to detonate the explosive. She was taken into custody and interrogated by the military. Unfortunately, these people have been indoctrinated. The arrested suicide bomber said she wants to die and go to heaven. That's how bad it has become," Ndume said.
