According to Soccernet.ng, Premier League giant Arsenal might attempt to sign Nigerian striker Samu Omorodion in the summer.

At the beginning of the season, Omorodion gained prominence when he scored Granada's first senior football goal against Atletico Madrid. Despite never having played in the top division, Rojiblancos was substituted for him the next week. They then promptly leased him to Granada, a La Liga team.

The 19-year-old striker has made 29 appearances and scored eight goals, which is a respectable return for a striker at Granada. Omorodion's performances have led to rumours that he may be leaving Atletico Madrid since, upon his return at the end of the season, he won't necessarily play for the first time.

West Ham and Arsenal are reportedly considering a deal for the dual-national striker, according to CaughtOffside. But according to a recent development, Liverpool seems to be considering Omorodion as well.

Transfermarkt values the youngster at $40 million, which is an adequate sum. Playing time, however, would be the primary determinant of Omorodion's choice. Ultimately, he may decide to stay in Spain if manager Diego Simeone can ensure his playing time at Atletico Madrid next season.

Omorodion was born in Spain and represents their young squad despite having Nigerian parents. Although he is loyal to Spain, he could be a future consideration for the three-time African champions.
