National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has told those planning to replace President Bola Tinubu in Aso Rock that there is no vacancy in the presidential seat in 2027.

The former Kano state governor specifically taunted the leadership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP and its chieftains in Kano state, accusing them of sponsoring protests and campaign for his removal as APC national chairman.

Addressing a crowd of supporters who paid him a solidarity visit on Monday evening in Abuja, Dr Ganduje said the NNPP and its chieftains were afraid of future electoral losses, having been defeated across the country in the last general election.

Falana claimed that the move is a policy imposed on the Nigerian government by the Bretton Wood institutions.

“The Honourable Minister of Power is acting the script of the IMF and the World Bank,” Falana said on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday.

“Those two agencies insisted and they continue to insist that the government of Nigeria must remove all subsidies. Fuel subsidy, electricity subsidy and what have you; all social services must be commercialised and priced beyond the reach of the majority of Nigerians.
