Residents flocked Kericho town today and re-erected UDA's party symbol, a wheelbarrow which was brought down during Anti-government protests last week.

The residents convened at the streets of Kericho town and re-erected the wheelbarrow led by elders who were present to bless the reinstallation of the wheel barrow.

Speaking at the event, one of the area MCA, Hon Mathew Korir said that William Ruto was elected to serve as President for 5 years. He fired back at protesters calling for Ruto's immediate resignation.

He also lauded the MPs who stood with the President by voting Yes saying they have no apology to make for standing with the President.

"People demonstrating and saying Ruto must go, we want to tell you that Ruto must go on developing this country and not must go home. The same thing, we want to thank our honourable Members for standing with the head of state, for voting Yes and they don't have to give us apology. Our MPs voted and stood with the head of state, William Ruto is our son and we want to protect him. No one will direct us on what to do." MCA mathew said
