According to Vanguard, former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has publicly advised former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello to end his evasion and present himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning.

Ortom delivered this counsel during a Thanksgiving ceremony held to celebrate his 63rd birthday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Regional Headquarters in Makurdi.

Reported by Vanguard, Ortom criticized Bello's decision to flee from the EFCC's summons regarding matters related to his tenure as governor. He emphasized that such actions could tarnish the reputation of former governors and urged Bello to uphold accountability.

Addressing Bello directly, Ortom urged him not to disgrace former governors and encouraged him to cooperate with the EFCC's inquiries. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the law and transparently addressing any allegations.

Ortom highlighted that the EFCC operatives are merely doing their job and stressed the necessity for Bello to present himself before the commission without resistance.

Despite unsuccessful attempts to reach Bello directly, Ortom utilized the public platform to convey his message, urging Bello to heed his advice and appear before the EFCC.
