Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is hopeful of receiving a significant injury boost as his team prepares to face Crystal Palace on Monday night, according to Evening Standard.

After a disappointing 1-1 draw with Burnley in their previous outing, Ten Hag is under immense pressure to turn things around, with speculation suggesting even an FA Cup triumph might not secure his position.

The return of key players from injury could provide a timely lift for the Red Devils.

Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, and Anthony Martial, who have all endured lengthy spells on the sidelines, are expected to resume training this week, edging closer to a potential comeback to the first team.

Speaking optimistically about their progress, Ten Hag said, "I think we are all going to see them [again] in this season. They returned, all three onto the pitch.

Next week, they have to make a step into team training and we think they can be available for the last weeks [of the season]. They are progressing well."

Additionally, the return of Marcus Rashford is expected at Selhurst Park after he suffered a knock following the FA Cup victory over Coventry at Wembley.

Meanwhile, Scott McTominay, who recently faced concerns of a lengthy absence due to a knee injury, has reassured fans that his setback was a hyperextension and that he expects to return to action "very soon."

Ten Hag faces a midfield dilemma, weighing options between Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen, with Casemiro possibly stepping in to cover at centre-back again.
