Senator Boni Khalwale has urged President William Ruto to dissolve and reconstitute his cabinet. Speaking during a Senate session on Wednesday July 3 2024, Khalwale criticized the current cabinet for failing the President.

Khalwale also called for the elimination of certain offices he believes are unconstitutional. He specifically mentioned the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) positions and the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary which is held by Musalia Mudavadi, leader of the Amani National Congress (ANC) party.

He stated, "Mr. President, dissolve your cabinet and reconstitute it. Disband offices outside the Constitution, including CAS, Prime Cabinet Secretary, and the Offices of the First Lady."

Additionally, Khalwale advised President Ruto to dismiss some of his advisors arguing that they have not been helpful to the executive arm of the government. He emphasized the need for restructuring security organs, suggesting the firing of Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome due to the recent unrest and anti-Finance Bill 2024 protests.

Khalwale's remarks highlight ongoing dissatisfaction with the government's handling of key issues, including the Finance Bill and national security. His statements reflect a broader call for significant changes within the current administration.
