According to the Daily Post, Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has responded to news of him joining opposition parties to form a mega party for the 2027 election.
The former Anambra State Governor said he supports forming a mega party if it will improve life for Nigerians.
He emphasized his focus on ensuring that poor Nigerians have enough to eat rather than prioritizing the formation of mega-parties with opposition groups.
He expressed a preference for addressing current issues affecting Nigerians.
In Peter Obi's words, he disclosed saying, "Our people are dying of hunger; how do we make life more conducive for the poor r Nigerians?" How do we make our people earn more money? How do we pull people out of poverty? That should be our concern, and not forming a mega party. If forming a mega party will make life more conducive for Nigerians, then I am all for it."
