In a recent development regarding the harrowing Kaduna train attack, the Police Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has named Ibrahim Abdullahi, also known as Mande, as the alleged mastermind behind the tragic incident. According to Adejobi, Mande, despite his young age, holds significant sway over a bandit camp and possesses a substantial arsenal of 40 AK47 rifles.

Adejobi emphasized the critical need not only to apprehend Mande and his associates but also to delve into the identities of their backers and the origins of their weaponry. Stressing the importance of collaborative efforts between security agencies and other stakeholders, Adejobi highlighted the necessity of a unified approach to effectively tackle such criminal activities.

The revelation came as Mande confessed to leading a kidnapping syndicate responsible for terrorizing the Abuja-Kaduna highway. Alongside notorious criminals Dogo Gide and Bello Turji, Mande admitted involvement in various kidnapping incidents, including the abduction at Greenfield University.

During a police parade reported by Channels TV, Adejobi shed light on the involvement of Mande, Dogo Gide, and Bello Turji in the Abuja-Kaduna train attack of March 28, 2022. He noted their strategic roles as leaders in the operation and highlighted Mande's significant control over the bandit camp and his possession of a considerable number of firearms.

"This is not something that security agencies can combat alone," Adejobi remarked, underlining the imperative to uncover the patrons and suppliers fueling the criminal activities of Mande and his cohorts. The call for collaboration echoes the ongoing efforts to address the complex web of crime and insecurity plaguing the region.

As investigations continue, authorities remain vigilant in their pursuit of justice and the restoration of peace in affected communities. With renewed determination and concerted action, stakeholders aim to stem the tide of criminality and safeguard the lives and properties of citizens across the region.
