In a significant breakthrough, the Kaduna Police Force has apprehended Amos Yakubu, a serial attacker known for targeting POS operators in the Sabon Tasha area. Yakubu's modus operandi involved disguising himself as a military personnel to gain the trust of his unsuspecting victims, making his attacks more effective and insidious.

Yakubu's strategy of impersonating a soldier allowed him to lull POS operators into a false sense of security, rendering them vulnerable to his assaults. This deceptive tactic facilitated his criminal activities, enabling him to execute multiple successful operations without immediate suspicion.

During his confession, Yakubu admitted to having carried out up to seven separate attacks on POS operators. He explained that his military disguise played a crucial role in convincing the operators of his legitimacy, which made it easier for him to carry out his plans.

One of the victims, Blessing Yango, shared her harrowing experience with the suspect. According to Yango, Yakubu approached her shop in military uniform, requesting to make a withdrawal. Trusting his appearance, she proceeded with the transaction, unaware of the danger lurking.

According to a victim, "He entered my shop wearing an army uniform, claiming he wanted to make a withdrawal. As I prepared my POS machine to process the transaction, he suddenly pulled out a knife and demanded that I hand over my bag containing the money."

Yango described the sudden turn of events when Yakubu revealed a knife and demanded her bag containing money. The abrupt shift from trust to threat left her stunned and helpless, highlighting the effectiveness of Yakubu's deceitful methods.
