Kenyans have come out to gather at Uhuru park in Nairobi County to hold a concert to honour the police brutality victims who lost their lives during the anti-government protests over the cententious Finance Bill 2024.
A video recorded has shown how the event was prepared for as group of youths who carried white crosses each bearing the names of the deceased who succumbed to police brutality during the protests.
The crosses had Kenyan flag tied around it as each cross was pegged into the ground as the concert was set to commence. The concert has attracted a mammoth of crowd which rendered the entire Uhuru park ground filled to its capacity.
This has taken place as was scheduled earlier that in line with Saba Saba memorial day that took in Kenya 34 years which saw huge protests that took place in Kenya over flight for multiparty democracy.
The police officers have also beefed up security in most parts of the Nairobi CBD and Uhuru park to ensure provision of enough security for the youths attending the event.
