Spanish Giants Barcelona are looking forward to the summer with hopes of making additions to their squad after a dismal season. The club are said to be in need of a new defensive midfielder and have identified Real Betis Guido Rodriguez as a possible target.
Barcelona are interested in Guido Rodriguez. The 30 year old is said to have been monitored by the Blaugrana for a while now and efforts are in place to secure his services. Rodriguez contract at Real Betis expires this summer and Barcelona look to get him on a free transfer.
Barcelona currently have Oriol Romeu and Andreas Christensen as current options in the defensive midfield role with the former set to exit the club in the summer.
Dairio Sports reports that Guido Rodriguez seems to be a good,nice and cheap option for Barcelona to sign in the summer. They also claim that Advanced talks have been held by both parties.
Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich and Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi have been named as other options that Barcelona are looking at to fill up the defensive midfield role.
It remains to be seen if Barcelona will secure the services of Guido Rodriguez to solve their defensive midfield problems.
