He is one of the biggest casualties of the changes made by President William Ruto to the Kenya Defence Forces on Thursday.
The changes saw General Charles Kahariri take over the reigns of KDF from his predecessor, the late General Francis Ogolla who perished in a tragic helicopter crash in April 2024.
But for Major General Dennis Njue Kamuri, the outgoing director of the Kenya Ordnance Factories Corporation, his fate is unknown as President Ruto appointed Major General George Okumu to take over the position in Eldoret- based factory.
Major General Kamuri who is from the Kenya Navy, is one of the highest ranked naval officers in the country today.
He assumed the role as the director of the Kenya Ordnance Factories Corporation in 2023 after being moved from the Defence headquarters where he served as infrastructure boss.
But with the appointment of Major General Okumu as the new boss of the state corporation under the military, the fate of Major General Kamuri is now hanging in the balance.
