Barcelona are set to push for the signing of Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood after showing interest in the 22-year-old.
Mason Greenwood arguably has one of the most uncertain future for any professional football player in Europe's top five leagues at the moment.
After his sexual assault charges were dropped and lifted, the winger was allowed to join Spanish La Liga side Getafe in a season long loan, and have since rediscovered his form. With 8 goals in the top flight, the winger is said to be a player in high demand and GOAL has reportedly revealed that Man Utd would love to sell him this summer.
Speaking concerning Greenwood, Getafe President Torres revealed that Man Utd has told him that they are willing to allow Greenwood leave the club on a permanent basis should they receive a tempting offer for him.
Still speaking about Greenwood, but this time on the conversations he has had with his rivals, Torres revealed that No one from Atletico Madrid has asked him about Greenwood.
According to a report revealed by Goal, this is what he said:
"I have spoken with Miguel Angel (Gil), but about other things. The only one who asked me in that sense about the player was Joan Laporta, but first you have to sell to sign - is the problem of Spanish football.”
Various outlets has revealed that Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are the forerunners for his signature, while Italian Serie A side Juventus are also in the midst of the whole transfer saga, waiting to pounce on the slightest opportunity they get.
However, from what Getafe president has revealed, Barcelona are the only serious club looking to sign Greenwood but they will have to sell some players in order to make this deal happen.
Meanwhile, Greenwood has just four games remaining for him to complete his loan spell with Getafe and return back to England.
