A former presidential candidate and a chieftain of the Labour Party, LP, Prof Pat Utomi, has noted that he watched the just concluded South African elections and wondered what the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmoud Yakubu and INEC thought of it and of themselves.

Speaking further, Prof Utomi noted that he also watch the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa sign up on a Government of National Unity, and wondered if those individuals who captured power in Nigeria were watching.

Professor Pat Utomi made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Saturday night. He went on and noted that he is currently watching Kenya's President, William Ruto on the world stage in Switzerland, as the face of Africa.

In addition, the Labour Party's Chieftain noted that politicians who belong to the political class of 1999, seem to have completed the humbling of Nigeria, with the loss of a sense of shame.

Professor Pat Utomi wrote: "I watched the South African elections and wondered what Mahmoud Yakubu and INEC thought of it and of themselves. Then I watched Ramaphosa sign up on a government of National Unity and I wondered if those who captured power in Nigeria were watching. How do they benchmark.

"Now I am watching Kenya’s William Ruto on the world stage in Switzerland as the face of Africa. The political class of 1999 seem to have completed the humbling of Nigeria with the loss of a sense of shame as Nigeria takes a back seat to their self love."
