"Bring It On, KenyaIs BiggerThan One Region" Mt Kenya Ally Told After Saying This Ahead Of 2027

President William Ruto has won a big win despite the country's continued unrest and protests, which have resulted in property destruction and loss of life. The protests, fueled primarily by Generation Z's dissatisfaction with high taxes, have included calls for Ruto's resignation.

Nonetheless, a sizable portion of the Kenyan populace continues to support him ahead of the August 2027 elections, particularly if the Mt Kenya area gains representation in the presidential cabinet.

Former Kiambu County governor Ferdinand Waititu remarked in a post on Kenyans.co.ke that the Mt Kenya region should field a presidential candidate in the forthcoming August 2027 national election. Waititu believes that this is critical to uniting the region, which he claims has been divided by President William Ruto's alleged use of divide-and-rule methods.

In response to Waititu's words, some Kenyans have expressed significant opposition to the Mt Kenya area producing a presidential candidate in the 2027 elections. They are adamant that they would rather re-elect President William Ruto, despite his imperfections, than risk power returning to Mt Kenya.

They blame the country's current problems on previous governments led by Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing them of extensive corruption and mismanagement that has caused enormous hardship for millions of Kenyans.

Furthermore, they contend that the Kikuyu group should not claim a monopoly on Kenyan politics after dominating leadership for more than 35 years. They claim that it is time for other ethnic groups to have a say in managing the country, warning that any move by Mt Kenya to field a presidential candidate will be met with fierce opposition. They anticipate that such a move would simply help to solidify support for President Ruto, as other areas would band together against Mt Kenya's apparent push for power. Below are the comments.
