Ebonyi Gov Announces N1000 Addition To Workers Salary

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, has again awarded additional N10,000 to the salary of the state workers.

The governor made the pronouncement during the 2024 workers day celebration held at Pa Oruta Ngele Stadium in Abakaliki, the state capital. Recall that in July 2023, barely one month in office, Governor Nwifuru added N10,000 to the salary of the state workers, noting that he will prioritize the welfare of the state workers.

EFCC Boss Hails Staff On Workers Day

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, has thanked the commission’s staff for their efforts in fighting corruption.

He gave the commendation in Abuja on Wednesday to commemorate the 2024 Workers’ Day.

Olukoyede, in a statement signed by the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, commended their intellect, integrity, focus, and commitment, emphasising their vital role as nation builders.


We Didn't Allocate N50bn For Daycare Centre- Ondo Govt

Following the outcry that greeted the allocation of N5 billion for the renovation of a daycare in the 2024 budget of Ondo State, the state government has described the development as an error.

The Ondo State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Emmanuel Igbasan, who blamed the printer of the document for the error, stated that it was a mix-up.

Earlier, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had accused the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, of purportedly using that as an avenue to mop up funds ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.


May Day 2024: Gov Lawal Renews Commitment To Improve Welfare Of Zamfara Workers

Governor Dauda Lawal reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the well-being of Zamfara workers. The governor made the pledge while participating in the May Day celebration, which took place on Wednesday at JB Yakubu Secretariat Complex, Gusau.

A statement by the spokesperson for the Zamfara Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, restated that the state government is committed to actively involving workers in the governance of the state.

He added that, while addressing the Zamfara State workers, Governor Lawal promised to fully implement all the six points of his administration’s Rescue Mission, which will form the basis of the transformation agenda.
