Seven (7) Arsenal stars who would likely leave at the end of the season.

Just like every summer, this one would also be an important one for Arsenal. It's a time they would certainly use to upgrade the level of their squad, removing fringe players and signing better ones.

While most of the transfer news would be focused on arrival, the Gunners have a lot to do in terms of potential exits too.

For now, Arsenal are still fully focused on the Premier League title race and pushing Manchester City until the final game of the season, as they look to win their first league trophy since 2004, however they are still working on exit deals behind closed door.

The Gunners' steady and gradual rise over the past few years has been built upon strong recruitment plans and no matter what the final result of this season reveals, there will be a desire to carry on doing the good work that has brought them thus far.

The summer transfer window opens for business on June 14th and runs until September 2nd, giving sporting director Edu, manager Mikel Arteta enough time to clear their cupboard and bring in new players.

No doubt Arteta and his team will have some tough decisions to make in terms of departures.

POSSIBLE DEPARTURES:

It is expected that a lot of Fringe players would be allowed to leave this summer with Egypt international Mohamed Elneny one of them. The midfielder has been at Arsenal since 2016, but has failed to play regular football and at 31, needs to play even more. Also Cedric Soares have barely played this season, making just six appearances across all competitions.

Next on this list is the one time favourite, Kieran Tierney who is out on loan with Real Sociedad. The way Arteta wants his full-backs to play saw the Scotland International lose his place to Oleksandr Zinchenko, while Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior are also ahead of him in the club's pecking order.

Tierney could join Real Sociedad on a permanent deal at the end of the season, having enjoyed a good loan spell there.

Nuno Tavares did not turn out to be the youngster we expected him to be and this would be the right time to let him go. He has been on loan at Nottingham Forest, but have failed to nail down a regular role at the club. A good fee should be enough to allow him leave the Emirate side.

Albert Sambi Lokonga has had a good loan spell at Luton, but the midfielder isn't needed at Arsenal and would likely be sold. The likes of Declan Rice, Thomas Partey and Jorginho are all better and well suited options than him.

We also have Marquinhos who is on loan at Fluminense in his native Brazil until January. He’s only 21 but I feel he is not the real deal and should be sold.

Then we have Aaron Ramsdale who has spent most of the season warming the bench and it has become clear that David Raya is the undisputed number one goalkeeper for the club. Ramsdale still has a contract till the summer of 2026, but will likely not stay at Arsenal till then as he needs to secure a regular game time.
