Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti, has dared Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo to arrest him.

This follows the actress’s recent allegations, that Kuti was among those enabling controversial self-styled social media activist, VeryDarkMan, to constitute a nuisance online.

Kuti denied being a “confusionist,” claiming that Ojo was “an oppressor.” According to him, he was only against Ojo arresting VDM and not their social media fight.

Speaking in a video message shared via his Instagram account, Kuti said, “I’m not a confusionist. And there was no time I opposed you fighting VeryDarkMan. I only said you shouldn’t be locking people up.

BREAKING: NAF helicopter crashes in Kaduna

An Air Force helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force in the early hours of Monday, crashed in Tami village, located in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Eyewitness said the incident occurred at approximately 5:00 am, causing significant alarm among residents.

The helicopter said to be on a routine operational flight, experienced technical difficulties that led to the crash. Fortunately, the pilot managed to execute emergency protocols effectively, ensuring his survival.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the pilot, emerged from the wreckage largely unscathed.

Don’t make Buhari’s mistake in appointments – Shehu Sani to Tinubu

The former Senator that represented Kaduna Central in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has advised President Bola Tinubu not to make the mistake on appointments like his immediate predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking in an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, the former lawmaker appealed to President Tinubu to prioritise competence in his appointments if he is interested in getting results that would move the country forward.

According to Sani, “During Buhari’s eight-year administration between May 2015 and May 2023, nepotism was at its peak yet results were not produced in all areas of governance, majorly security, economy, education and healthcare.

“I will advise President Tinubu to be careful not to make the mistakes of President Buhari, and I believe he is experienced enough to understand this.”

Varsities governing councils to be inaugurated July 4

The Governing Councils of Federal universities, polytechnics and other tertiary institutions will be inaugurated on July 4, 2024.

The Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Prof. Aisha Maikudi, made this known while giving her acceptance speech on Monday, while assuming the affairs of the institution.

A total of 560 individuals, were appointed to the governing councils and boards of Federal Government-owned tertiary institutions.

President Bola Tinubu approved the reconstitution of the Governing Councils and Boards of federal universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
