The former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel has reacted after he attended an inter- cultural wedding between the daughter of the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Blessing Eyakenyi and Mr Olumuyiwa Adewumi, a native of Ekiti state.
Also at the wedding is the former First Lady of Akwa Ibom state, the incumbent Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Umo Eno among other dignitaries.

Former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel stated on his verified Twitter page; "In the company of my amiable wife, I attended the wedding ceremony between the daughter of the Deputy Governor of my State, Blessing Eyakenyi and Mr Olumuyiwa Adewumi. I have always believed that our diversity when well utilized can engender nation as envisaged by our noble forebears.
He added; "Today’s inter- cultural union sealed at the International Worship Center in Uyo, between a daughter of Akwa Ibom and a son of Ekiti State, sums it all. Nobody in that auditorium remembered who was Yoruba , Hausa- Fulani, Igbo or Ibibio. They were all In-laws, siblings and parents of the new family, united by the chords of love and they all sang and danced together in unity and harmony."
