Oladeinde Ariyo, a public affairs analyst has spoken about Governor Sim Fubara's decision to remove Chidi Awuse from his position as Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council.

In a video shared by TVC, Ariyo alleged that when the council was preparing to make an annual calendar, Governor Fubara asked Awuse to include his (Fubara) photo and the deputy governor's photo on the calendar. He said Awuse refused and instead pledged his loyalty to former Governor Wike, with whom Fubara is at loggerheads. He said Wike was the one who supported Awuse to become a traditional ruler and chairman of the council

In Ariyo's words: "Governor Fubara told Awuse to put his photo and the deputy governor's photo on the calendar but he refused and pledged his loyalty to Wike. I won't get that petty, but Fubara chose to show the man he is governor and the man had to go. He accused him of not functioning and all of that. Where were those allegations and accusations before the photo thing started?"
