The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has reacted to the arrest of three suspected robbers in Lagos State.

While speaking, SP Hundeyin noted that CSP Tokunbo Abaniwonda, led her men on a sting operation to Otedola bridge with the objective of arresting the robbers. He went on and noted that operation paid off and the three suspected were arrested, noting that their names are Tochukwu Nonso, Chidera Christopher and Richard Etim.

Speaking further, he noted that security operations sometimes result in injury or death to security forces, noting that a police officer sustained a machete cut from the ring leader, which did not deter her and her team from completing the job.

The Lagos State Police Spokesperson made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle, while reacting to the arrest of the alleged robbers.

Hundeyin went on and noted that since the arrests till date, not a single robbery has been recorded on the Otedola bridge. He thereby thanked the DPO and her team for risking their lives to ensure total sanity on that bridge.

Some parts of the post read: "When called for confirmation, I made it clear that following reports of robberies on the Otedola Bridge, DPO Alausa, CSP Tokunbo Abaniwonda, led her men on a sting operation to the bridge with the objective of arresting the robbers. The operation paid off. All three were arrested, Tochukwu Nonso, Chidera Christopher and Richard Etim."

"Security operations sometimes result in injury or death to security forces. She sustained a machete cut from the ring leader, which did not deter her and her team from completing the job, with absolutely no fatality to the suspects."
