Man Utd announce first summer deal

Manchester United has confirmed that Tom Heaton has signed a new one-year contract at the club. The 38-year-old has been Manchester United's third-choice goalkeeper since returning to his boyhood club in 2021. While Heaton has not been a first-team regular for some time, he has 380 senior club appearances to his name. Heaton has also won three England caps, with his most recent game for the Three Lions coming back in 2017.

Chelsea to pay Nico Williams £17m per-year

Chelsea are reportedly preparing to make Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams a contract offer amid his impressive exploits at Euro 2024..The 21-year-old has mightily impressed as part of Spain's thriving team and has a £49m release clause in his current contract. According to Sport, Chelsea are willing to offer Williams a salary worth as much as £17m per year to convince him to join the club. However, Williams is said to favour a move to Barcelona and may ignore the interest from Stamford Bridge while he waits for that opportunity.

Xavi Simons agrees Bayern move

According to RMC Sport, Xavi Simons has agreed to join Bayern Munich on loan. The report claims personal terms have been sorted between the Dutch midfielder and German giants. Paris Saint-Germain are yet to decide what to do with Simons this summer amid potential plans to cash in on him. It is therefore up to PSG to green-light another loan exit or back him with a run in the first-team.

Chelsea makes Jackson decision

Chelsea were being linked with Alexander Isak a few days ago and were said to be ready to include Nicolas Jackson deal in the deal. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues in fact see Jackson as a key part of their future. They want to keep him over the next few years and will not sell him this summer.

De Light keen on Man Utd move

According to Sky in Germany, Matthijs de Ligt is keen to move to Manchester United, amid interest from the club, according to Sky in Germany. The Red Devils have held initial talks with Bayern Munich to explore the conditions of a potential deal for the Netherlands international. The report claimss that Bayern's valuation is €50m (£42.4m), plus add-ons. Erik ten Hag, who coached De Ligt at Ajax, wants the 24-year-old as part of his squad at Old Trafford next season.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has signed for Chelsea on a five-year contract, with an option of a sixth for a fee of around £30m.

Lyon's move to sign Orel Mangala from Nottingham Forest permanently has been activated. He has signedy a contract until June 2028.
