The Gen Z led nationwide anti-goverment protests have finally kicked off in most towns in the country, with Nairobi being one of them despite heavy police that was deployed in the area to maintain peace and order .

In a video doing rounds in social media platforms, youthful protesters could be seen giving police hard time after storming Nairobi CBD for protests today.

The protesters remained unmoved despite police lobbying teargas to disperse them. Moreover, the protesters bursted into anti-Ruto songs as they matched in the streets of Nairobi.

"Yote yawezekana bila Ruto (Everything is possible without Ruto)," the protesters could be heard singing as they danced in Nairobi CBD.

It should be remembered that the Gen Z protesters have been demanding for the resignation of President William Ruto, despite the President bowing to pressure and refusing to sign the Finance Bill 2024 into law.

During the last protests on Thursday last week, the protesters managed to find their way into parliament forcing the MPs who were transacting House business to flee for their safety.

Meanwhile, we take this opportunity to plead with the Gen Z to maintain peace and order during the protests.
