In a recent statement, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to the recent court ruling on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) primary election in Edo State, as reported by Vanguard.

The Federal High Court in Abuja invalidated the PDP primary that selected Asue Ighodalo as the party’s candidate for the upcoming governorship election.

The APC, through Comrade Orobosa Omo-Ojo, Director of the Publicity Committee of the APC Governorship Campaign Council, welcomed the court's decision.

He further stated that the APC is committed to avoiding the imposition of unpopular candidates on the people of Edo.

Omo-Ojo highlighted the importance of the court’s decision for the future of Edo State.

The APC believes that the court ruling is a step towards better governance and addressing the needs of the people.

They see it as an opportunity to unite and work towards the common goal of improving the state's prosperity and well-being.

The disqualification of Asue Ighodalo has brought reactions across the state, with many citizens viewing it as a positive development.

The APC remains hopeful that this decision will pave the way for a more inclusive and effective government that prioritizes the welfare of its citizens.

"The news of the disqualification of Mr. Asue Ighodalo as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate has been received by Edo people as relief from imposition of forgery and continuation of self-serving governance in our state."

"APC as a progressive party, is calling on Mr. Ighodalo to join hands with Senator Monday Okpebholo to retake the state and reset it for prosperity," Omo-Ojo said.
