In a candid interview on TVC TV, Ayodele Adewale, the Organizing Secretary of the All Progressive Congress in Lagos State, expressed his satisfaction with the turnout for the recent elections, hailing it as the highest since the historic June 12, 1993, polls.

He underscored that the elections witnessed several surprises, with newcomers in the political arena gaining traction and securing victories in areas where they were not traditionally dominant.

Adewale also expressed gratitude for the successful reelection of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, despite the legal hurdles he faced.

He remarked, "That report gladdened my heart based on the fact that people did come out. The last time you saw such a number of people that came out was during the June 12, 1993 elections. A place where some people had their strongholds and they lost those strongholds, they gained other areas, that one would have thought they would never have an inroad. Basically, people did come out to vote and exercise their will to vote for the candidate of their choice. And so many upsets were also seen, new people coming into the political field were able to make their statement and make their mark, and today a lot of them are in the National Assembly and they are also in their various states. We thanked God the President won the election. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the election and his winning was tested at the Judiciary and he scaled through all the stratum."
