Dr. Moses Paul, one of the aides of the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi has reacted to the claim that hypocrisy is when Obi is a Muslim on Friday and Christian on Sunday.

He reacted on his official X handle on Thursday. In the post that he shared on his page, he said the nation currently needs a kind of love that cuts across religious boundaries. He said Nigeria needs a love that embraces Muslims on Friday and Christians on Sunday and everyday in between.

Dr. Moses Paul said a love that accepts all religions is the kind of love that can heal the wounds of division and bring Nigerians together. He said that is the kind of love that the former governor of Anambra state brings to the table.

Here is what he wrote on his official X handle;

"Nigeria needs a love that transcends religious boundaries, a love that embraces Muslims on Friday and Christians on Sunday, and every day in between. This kind of love has the power to conquer the deepest ideological divisions and unite the country, rather than tearing it apart. By embracing interfaith understanding and acceptance, we can bridge the gaps that have been exploited to separate us. Let us strive for a love that recognizes our shared humanity, rather than our differences. A love that promotes mutual respect, understanding, and acceptance, regardless of faith or background. This is the kind of love that can heal the wounds of division and bring Nigerians together, bridging a sense of national unity and purpose. This is what Mr. Peter Obi brings to the table because a greater, better, stronger working united Nigeria"
