Reflecting on past political conflicts, Madumere recalled the prolonged disagreement between former Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Nyesom Wike. He pointed out that such internal conflicts within the same political party have historically disrupted governance and adversely affected the daily lives of the state's residents.

He noted that the recurring nature of these political disputes has hindered progress and stability in Rivers State. The former deputy governor stressed that these internal struggles within the political leadership not only divert attention from governance but also create an atmosphere of uncertainty and instability for the citizens.

He underscored the importance of setting aside personal differences for the greater good of the community. He urged the current leaders to learn from past mistakes and prioritize the needs of the people they are elected to serve.

Madumere emphasized that the former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, and the immediate past governor of the state, Nyesom Wike, belonged to the same political family but did not see eye to eye for eight years. He reiterated that it is the people of Rivers State who are feeling the impact of these endless crises in the state.
