TV Host and the only daughter of the late Nigeria Bar Association President, Alao Aka-Bashorun, Morayo Afolabi-Brown just sparked controversies as she sends a strong message to the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele after an extension was given for the deadline for old Naira notes.
She reportedly said, and quote, "Let me give you my own advice as a regular citizen. Between February 1st and the 10th of February that you are giving us an extension. Everyday you let there be a press briefing from your office where you are coming to us. Tell us how many of your guys are out there. How much you have given to the banks?"
"How much has been collected and how much has been received? How many new notes you have? How much has been reprinted? Give us daily updates. Are you putting Naira notes out there? Every single day from February 1st. Let us hear from you because we feel that nobody is listening to us. And that's what an attentive government does. It is a major change, it's a major shift."
