In a recent interview with AIT, Ezeocha Nzeh, Assistant Editor of the New National Star, criticised Governor Fubara for allegedly prioritising his political survival over moral values, equity, and justice in River State. Nzeh highlighted the turmoil in River State politics, with both the governor and his opponents seemingly disregarding principles in their quest to retain power.

He called for national intervention, emphasising the chaos surrounding the state's leadership. He stated that there's a need for the national assembly to take over the affairs of the state.

According to him, "Look at River, what the governor is trying to do now is he's fighting to secure his seat, and in that fight, he has removed morals, he has removed equity, he has removed justice. What the 27 are doing now is to also retain their position, which is somehow being voided, and they're waiting for a court to declare them real or null. So they have also removed morals. There's no justice in their dictionary; they don't want to hear that. You see, the Rivers crisis has gotten to a stage where the national assembly, like he said, should intervene. Right now, you cannot say who is the speaker."
