According to a report from the Daily Post, the Traditional Rulers Forum (TRF) of Anioma, Delta State, has thrown its support behind Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly, in his efforts towards the establishment of Anioma State. The royal leaders expressed their endorsement through a five-point communiqué issued following an interactive session with Senator Nwoko at Obior, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. Signed by the secretary and Obi of Atuma Iga, Obi Daniel Chukwuka Ogbudo, the communiqué highlighted a renewed sense of unity and purpose among the Anioma royal fathers, reaffirming their collective determination to back the initiative for Anioma State.
While pledging their support, the monarchs also encouraged Senator Nwoko to engage more extensively with other influential stakeholders within the Anioma community to foster a stronger collaborative effort in achieving their shared objectives. Senator Nwoko, during the session, briefed the monarchs on his legislative activities over the past year and his ongoing consultations with relevant stakeholders, including federal authorities and fellow lawmakers, aimed at advancing the state creation process.
