Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, has revealed the kind of questions he would ask people who would come to give special seeds and offerings to him. He shared this during his sermon at the July Edition of the Leadership Empowerment Summit.
He explained that genuine prophets are not looking around for who would help them, but are looking for people to help.
"Prophets are sent as helpers. They don’t need your help, you need theirs. Genuine prophets are helpers, they are not looking for who to help them; they’re looking for who else to help," he said.
He shared that when people, especially the ones he does not know, come to give him gifts, he always tries to find out the source of their wealth, and whether there could be anybody to verify what they say.
He shared how one member of the church gave land to the church some time in the past. According to him, he called the people and asked whether or not the man was a committed member of the church.
"I said return the property before he'll come and say Papa took my two plots of land," he said.
"Is he a committed member of the church? Who knows him in this church? Who can vouch for him? Is he worth this gift?" he shared.
