After several years with Dad in Saudi Arabia, 19-year-old daughter has finally reunited with her mother Victoria O'Leary's. Mirror reported that the young lady was taken to Saudi Arabia under false pretence. It took seventeen-year long battle to be reunited with her mom.
The young lady by name Fatima, was taken by her father when she was just 2 years old. Her father who is a citizen of Saudi took her to the Middle East under the guise of a short holiday.
According to Fatima's mother, her ex-husband stopped any form of communication with her when she took their daughter to Saudi Arabia. She added that the ex-husband's family in the Middle East also refused to send her daughter back home to her.
Over the years, Victoria had made several trips to Saudi Arabia to meet government departments inorder to get her daughter. All her efforts to retrieve her failed. She stays in Cork with her first daughter Zahra.
Despite multiple setbacks, the mum never stopped trying, and the pair finally reunited last week.

Victoria said that she could only communicate with her daughter through Snapchat and WhatsApp. She added that she do send her money using Revolut. Then in 2023, the case unexpectedly progressed, when Fatima, who had just turned 18, contacted a lawyer.
"So there I am trying to break the door open to give her a hug and I eventually got it open and gave her a big massive hug. It was surreal, it was absolutely surreal. She was even in shock, just with a big smile on her face that I was finally standing in front of her," she said on meeting daughter.
