Tinubu Approves Group Life Assurance For Troops

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his commitment to building a well-equipped and truly professional Army that will remain the pride of the nation.

The President’s message was delivered at the grand finale of the 2024 Nigerian Army Day celebration at the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment in Jos, the Plateau State capital, on Saturday.

Delivering the President’s message at the occasion, Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, reinstated the Federal Government’s commitment to the welfare of soldiers.

I Won't Be Distracted- Fubara

The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that nothing will ever distract the attention of his administration from taking its eyes off the ball in ensuring that Rivers people get the best that will improve the quality of life that they lead.

Fubara gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen shortly after being conducted around the entire premises and structures of the Zonal Hospital, Degema Town in the Degema Local Government Area on Saturday.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi, and made available to PUNCH Online.


Fubara Assures Govt Unwavering Commitment To Good Governance

Gov.Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers has assured the people of the state of unwavering commitment to providing critical infrastructure required for the speedy development of the state.

Fubara gave the assurance while speaking to newsmen after the inspection of the reconstruction work at the Zonal Hospital in Bori town, Khana Local Government Area.

The governor said that there was no cause to worry over the recent pronouncements of the appeal court.

The Federal Government, on Saturday, cautioned the media against destabilizing the country with fake news.

It gave the warning at a press briefing addressed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, and his counterpart, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Bagudu.

This came amid earlier reports by a section of the media that with the recently signed Samoa Agreement, the Nigerian Government would promote LGBTQ.
