We Told Peter Obi That We Need To Prepare For 2027 If He Wants To Be Our Candidate– Abayomi Arabambi

Abayomi Arabambi, the Labour Party's factional national publicity secretary, voiced her worries over Peter Obi's possible presidential run in 2027 during a recent Arise TV programme.

According to Arabambi, Obi's present relationships with people like Joe Ajaero and Aisha Yesufu put his candidature at risk. Instead of letting outside critiques and influences derail your preparations for the 2027 election, he emphasised the significance of maintaining your focus. The importance of the Labour Party maintaining strategic unity is highlighted by this warning.

Arabambi claims that Obi continues to be sidetracked from the impending election, despite many reminders to do so. Aside from the essential preparations, he said, the spotlight is being diverted away from Obi and the Labour Party by outside critics. If this distraction continues, Arabambi claims it will hurt the party's prospects in the upcoming presidential election.

Arabambi elaborated by saying that Obi has been advised by the Labour Party to prepare for 2027. He stressed that it might be harmful to combine with Yesufu and Ajaero, who are outspoken opponents of the present government. Arabambi argues that these links could hurt Obi's political prospects by suggesting that he does not respect existing authority.

Listen up: "We were telling Peter Obi that we needed to get ready. We need to get ready for 2027, but if you're still believing Joe Ajaero—the Aisha Yesufu of this world—that our current administration is illegitimate and that Mr. Peter Obi will kowtow to that, then he has no business running as our candidate that year. After all, will he expect Nigerians to respect him once he's president? Yes, you are required to honour duly elected officials.
