How I Reacted After Somebody Made A Mockery Of Me And Went To Publicize It-Bishop David Ibiyeomie

In a recent video on Facebook, Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries revealed the mockery he faced when choosing to reside in the Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Port Harcourt despite initial accommodation challenges.

Reflecting on the incident, Pastor Ibiyeomie recounted how a critic derisively commented on his decision: The critic mockingly predicted that Pastor Ibiyeomie would never own property in the GRA, implying that his choice was beyond his means. Despite these taunts, Pastor Ibiyeomie persisted with his vision and moved into the GRA, an area associated with affluence and prestige. He acknowledged that such declarations made some people angry and skeptical, especially when juxtaposed with his humble beginnings.

According to him, "Somebody made a mockery of me and went to publicize it. He said: “You, so in the whole Port Harcourt na GRA you go see?” You know? When we were having accommodation problem. The person said: “You, in the whole Port Harcourt? make we see how God take call am. Make we see when e go get property. Now, e no go SandFill na GRA.” SandFill is in Port Harcourt. Borokiri. He said: “So, SandFill! E no see, e say GRA? Em go see pepper. Yet I will come and say: “Listen! We are one of the richest Churches on earth.” People get angry, they get angry. “Money they no get, they say richest Church for what?” See am e dey trek, e say e be rich man (Laughing). My actions did not (Change). With coat oo, I will say: “Listen! I'm rich!” Some used to be very angry when I said so."
