Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, recently revealed an incident that deeply disturbed him. In a video that Channels TV posted, Fayose described a visit during which he was informed about a serious danger related to the Dangote Refinery. A call regarding an alleged bombing plot was received from the refinery during the visit.

Fayose claims that the threat is associated with influential people who manage the importation of petroleum products. These people are allegedly against the federal government's proposal to supply crude oil to the Dangote Refinery for the production of locally produced gasoline in an effort to cut expenses. The reason for their objection is their concern that the plan will reduce their earnings and weaken their dominance over the market.

According to Fayose, these organizations are extremely worried that the government's initiative may jeopardize their successful commercial ventures. They perceive the shift toward promoting local products as a danger to their financial interests, characterizing it as if it were removing their "feeding bottle" or main source of income.

Fayose claims that these organizations are very concerned that their profitable business endeavors may be jeopardized by the government's attempt. They see the move toward supporting regional goods as a threat to their bottom line, characterizing it as though their primary source of income or "feeding bottle" were being taken away.

Fayose emphasized the difficulties the Dangote Refinery and the federal government had in carrying out their well-intentioned plans. Although cutting petrol prices and boosting domestic production are commendable objectives, established interests' resistance poses a serious challenge.

In closing, the former governor emphasized how complicated the matter was. He pointed out that despite the greatest of intentions, there is going to be a lot of opposition to the refinery and the government, and the president cannot personally supervise every facet of the project to guarantee its security and success.

Hear him: "Let me give you an instance that I had recently that shook and surprised me in Nigeria and I want Nigerians to listen to this. I visited somebody and while I was there, somebody called from Dangote Refinery and raised alarm on the intention to bomb the Dangote Refinery. Because there are institutions who believe that the effort of the federal government to give crude to Dangote to be able to produce and bring the cost of petrol down, the cabals in the import industries of products, they are saying that will never work as long as they exist because you want to take feeding bottle away from us. Even if the federal government has good intentions, even if Dangote has good intentions what can they do? The president cannot go and be managing the boat and convert himself to security man".
