The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says President Bola Tinubu has failed Nigerians.

PDP noted that Tinubu’s bad leadership, had plunged Nigerians into hardship and worsened the precarious economic situation.

The opposition party said Tinubu’s administration, had failed to address the problems caused by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a post on its X page, PDP wrote: “The Tinubu administration’s bad leadership has plunged Nigerians into unimaginable hardship, exacerbating the country’s already precarious economic and social conditions.

The Peoples Democratic Party in Benue State, has advised the state governor, Hyacinth Alia, to change his approach in handling security issues in the state.

The opposition party in the state, gave the advice in a statement issued by its publicity secretary, Bemgba Iortyom, while commiserating with the government and people of Ukum Local Government Area, over the killings in the council.

Some youths, had protested the killing of people in Ayati village by local bandits resulting in the destruction of personal and government properties by the protesters.

Following the violent protest, the state governor declared 24-hour curfew in the local government.

Nigerians must unite to fight corruption – Orji Uzor Kalu

The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has said that fighting corruption requires Nigerians’ collective effort.

He made this known on Thursday, while speaking in a video posted on his official Facebook page.

According to him, Nigerians need to unite and combat corruption collectively to prevent its negative impact on the entire nation.

He said, “The greatest problem you’re looking for is corruption. Corruption has eaten the fabric of Nigeria, whether in the private or public sector.

Insecurity: Zamfara Govt orders reopening of 2 cattle markets

The Zamfara State Government, has approved the immediate reopening of the Magami and Danjibga cattle markets in Gusau and Tsafe local government areas of the State.

A statement issued by the State Commissioner of Information, Munnir Mu’azu Hidara, said that the reopening of the two markets takes effect from Wednesday 3rd July, 2024, following the recent improvement on security situation in the areas.

“In view of this development therefore, the State government is hereby directing the leadership of the affected cattle markets, to take note and further monitor the activities of the cattle marketers to ensure proper conduct of the business activities in the areas.
