Reactions as Babu Asks Raila To Leave AUC Job And Come Lead Gen Z To St.H

In response to remarks made by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, who called on former prime minister Raila Odinga to resign as chairman of the Africa Union and instead guide them to State House, Kenyans have spoken out. Speaking to a group of political heavyweights connected with Azimio today at Fred Omondi's farewell, Babu Owino conceded that Raila Odinga should now pursue his long-standing desire to become president. Babu underlined that the Gen Z age is ready to start a revolution in Kenya, but he also emphasised how crucial it is that they have a leader to lead them.

In response to Babu Owino's remarks, Kenyans have said that Raila Odinga's involvement in the Gen Z revolution is not necessary. Although they acknowledge Raila Odinga's significant contributions to the nation, they think it's time for him to stand aside and see how things develop. They contend that Raila is too old to be a leader and instead call for a youthful, dynamic leader.

Others argue that Raila is not a strong contender because of his involvement in the handshake administration under former President Uhuru Kenyatta, which they say led to widespread corruption, extrajudicial killings, and public money theft, causing great suffering for millions of Kenyans. They contend that Ruto, Raila, and Matiang'i are no longer desirable. Rather, they advocate for fresh, dynamic leaders who will infuse the nation with new life and a fresh perspective.
