Man Utd set to lose about £30m in transfer fee after agreeing to sell one of their stars.

Manchester United are set to see one of their star depart the club for a fee considered by me as 'laughable.'

The Red Devils are desperate to erase some names from their payroll and are willing to do that at any cost, even if it involves losing lots of money in transfer value.

One player who has been linked with a move away from the club is Donny Van de Beek. The Dutchman is a reported target for Spanish La Liga side Girona and is drawing closer to joining them.

According to a report released by GOAL, Girona have agreed a deal with Man Utd to sign van de Beek in a move that we see them pay an initial fee of £423,000 - a fee significantly less than the £35m they spent on Van de Beek in 2020.

While many would agree with me that the initial fee is relatively low, transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Red Devils will reportedly earn more than just the initial fee, as add-ons could see the total fee rise to £4m.

This deal will give Van de Beek the chance to end his nightmare time at Old Trafford and offer him an opportunity to rebuild his career and recapture his potential.

Furthermore, it will give the former Ajax midfielder the chance to play and impress in a Champions League game again, as he did for Ajax, with Girona having qualified for the competition.

With Man Utd set to lose a lot of money in this potential deal, we hope that they have made the right decision for both club and player.
