According to GIVEMESPORT, Arsenal have now inquired about 22-year-old Italian international defender Riccardo Calafiori and are willing to step up their interest in the Bologna man.
For many, Calafiori is considered as one of the best young defensive prospects in European football at the moment and might go on to become a very important player for Arsenal in the nearest future, should the North London side secure his signature.
The Italian international may make a formidable partnership with William Saliba in the Arsenal defence, displacing Gabriel Magalhaes who sometimes is error prone.
Also, his flexibility could see him feature for Arsenal at left-back.
