Many Kenyan cities have returned to normalcy as commercial operations restart and anti-government protests subside. Businesses in Nairobi County that had been closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the previous three weeks due to protests reopened Wednesday, while passenger cars continued their daily operations as usual.

Nonetheless, police officers continue to patrol the entire city. This shift in mood is in response to young people's social media requests for their friends to stop protesting. This is to prevent an increase in the number of deaths.

An investigation has been launched because intelligence and security professionals around the country suspect that these looters are receiving funding.According to sources, those who are responsible for property destruction will face legal consequences.

Furthermore, activist Boniface Mwangi warned the youth to stay away from the protests because they had degraded into widespread looting. The Gen Zs appear to have followed suit and stayed at home.
